Dita Von Teese for Moschino

Dita Von Teese for Moschino

Professional temptress Dita Von Teese has spread her fashion wings and collaborated with designer clothing brand Moschino to create a wonderfully stylish eye mask for the label.

With one of the sexiest stars in the world as it’s designer, this sleep essential could prove to be the most glamorous piece of nightwear you’ll own.

Combining this season’s trend of embellishment with cute polka dots, this is sure to be an essential for every glamour puss on the move.

What’s more, all of the proceeds from the sale of this quirky piece will go amFAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research and in my opinion there’s no better feeling than knowing you look absolutely fabulous, while doing your bit for a good cause.

Glamorous Dita also divulged some of her fashion secrets, revealing that Moschino has always been one of her favourite designer clothing brands.

"I love the sense of humour infused into Moschino’s designs and the way that it transcends fads and is always chic. All of my Moschino pieces are treasured, and not one piece ever goes out of style," she told our fellow fashion-followers over at Vogue.

But this is not the first time that the burlesque dancer has tried her hand at design - the star recently created a saucy underwear range for Wonderbra.

Do you think that Dita is a fashion icon?

Pixie Lott turns fashion designer for Moschino

Pixie Lott turns fashion designer for Moschino

You don’t seem to be able to look anywhere these days without coming across pictures of Pixie Lott. With her creative fashion sense and love of designer clothing, it came as no surprise to hear from Vogue that she is the name behind a new limited edition t-shirt for Moschino.

A fan of the label, she has been snapped many a time on the red carpet in a Moschino dress or dressed up tee … but I’m not sure her charity offering lived up to my expectations.

Made from grey jersey material and featuring her handwritten song lyrics and doodles, we at Secret Sales expected something a little less predictable from the pop princess.

However, profits go to a very good cause - to help sufferers of Perthes’ disease via the Perthes Association as well as The Italia Conti Trust.

The 18-year-old bombshell from Kent (real name Louise Victoria Lott) has also had her design head on for River Island and the Prince’s Trust. The black and white zebra-print tee with black fringed sleeves went on sale on Tuesday (November 10th).

Other celebs to have their designs on sale this week included Alesha Dixon and Kelly Rowland.

Which of Pixie’s charity t-shirts do you like the most?

New Kate Moss collection hits Topshop

New Kate Moss collection hits Topshop

Yes, it’s true that we here at Secret Sales HQ love designer clothes. If it’s Balenciaga I’ll wear it, same goes for Balmain, Chloe and Moschino of course. But just because I have a particular penchant for high-end labels, that doesn’t mean I would forgo the high street entirely.

As I’m sure you know by now, I completely adore Topshop. Granted, if your entire wardrobe is stocked entirely with the store’s designs, chances are you won’t make much of a unique impression when rolling up to that fabulous Christmas party in the same dress as four other girls! Being selective when making purchases is a must, but one thing’s for sure, you’re likely to get a very fashionable buy in this shop.

So, it should come as no surprise just how excited I am that Kate Moss’s new Topshop line has finally been launched. And I have to admit, it’s stunning as usual.

Inspired by her favourite vintage pieces from her own wardrobe, the range comprises the usual cute slips, statement dresses, quirky jackets and sexy bejewelled knitwear.

There is one seriously sexy plunging sequin minidress in the line which would look fabulous with some black fishnets and killer heels, while Kate has gone oriental with an asymmetric bamboo-print dress.

Another notable piece is the stunning rose Geisha blouse, which follows the Japanese and Chinese theme nicely, which is certainly a pretty and girly alternative to the tough grungy rock looks that are still prevalent at the minute.

Do you think fashion icon Kate has delivered another winning line?

Celebs lend support to cancer charity with designer shoes

Celebs lend support to cancer charity with designer shoes

We here at Secret Sales HQ go all warm and fuzzy when we hear news that the world of fashion in some way benefits those less fortunate in society.

That’s why when we learned that the MacMillan Cancer Support In Their Shoes Ball is set to take place next month, excitement struck at the prospect of being able to contribute to charity while appreciating designer shoes.

The event sees A-list celebrities donate some of their favourite heels from their own personal collection, which are then auctioned off with the highest bidders’ money going to the organisation.

So far, pop princess Kylie Minogue has donated her favourite Moschino wedges to the cause, while supermodel Cindy Crawford and Wag Coleen Rooney said goodbye to their prized Pradas.

As if bidding for the designer shoes themselves was not appealing enough, those who secure a pair of the famous footwear will notice that they are signed by the celebrity owner!

I for one can’t wait to attend the bash, which is taking place at the International Park Lane on November 19th. Apparently the night itself is set to be fabulous - even for those who bid unsuccessfully!

But, tickets cost £150 and are limited, so if you can’t manage to secure one, just get online and bid! It’s for a great cause after all.

Which celebrity’s shoe collection would you most like to raid?

Moschino goes 1980s while evoking chic Chanel

If, like me, you are just loving fashion’s return to the decade that style forgot then you will have no doubt enjoyed the Moschino show at Milan Fashion Week.

Proof that 1980s-inspired power dressing is set to continue beyond this season and next was evident in the label’s spring/summer 2010 line, which consisted primarily of a lot of well-tailored almost Chanel-inspired suits.

But, in an unsurprising twist that is quintessentially Italian was the fact that the suits were made up of skimpy miniskirts and accessorised with insanely vertiginous heels - a far cry from the flats presented by Giorgio Armani.

My favourite suit to hit the catwalk comprised a cropped jacket with three-quarter length sleeves and an equally short miniskirt, both of which were trimmed elegantly with pearls. The suit was customised with a white silk blouse and draped with pearls, along with a salmon-pink clutch, chunky black bangle and a black asymmetric headpiece - Chanel eat your heart out.

On top of the chic tailored suits, another common thread to feature in the collection was sheer black tights. Whether this was down to the fact we were in Milan or because sheer is set to be huge next spring and summer remains to be seen by looking at other collections, but considering Giorgio Armani opted for sheer as opposed to opaque too is very telling methinks.

In stark contrast to the girly girl Chanel-esque style evoked by Moschino was the grunge-inspired makeup sported by the models, evidence that while doing the prim and proper look may be at the height of fashion, toughening it up is always a must.

Can coarse Moschino add edge to chic Chanel?
