What would you do for Cheryl Cole’s designer wardrobe?

What would you do for Cheryl Cole's designer wardrobe?

We here at Secret Sales HQ have to salute the wonderful Cheryl Cole for her designer clothing choices.

It seems that even in troubled times the star manages to look fabulous and maintain an air of dignity.

And while we are well aware that many of you fashionistas out there love Cheryl and would do anything to emulate her look, we weren’t aware of the extreme lengths that some of you would go to in order to get your hands on her vast clothing collection.

In a recent survey by My Celebrity Fashion a whopping 34 per cent of women questioned admitted that they would happily swap their man for the Girls Aloud star’s wardrobe.

Lady Gaga also proved to be a popular fashion icon with 20 per cent saying that they would happily trade in their bloke for some of the singer’s quirky ensembles.

Kate Moss, Dannii Minogue and Victoria Beckham also featured in the top five, while Fearne Cotton was the least popular celebrity in the style stakes.

And it would appear that Cheryl is sparking yet another clothing trend - the Sun reports that t-shirts that read Team Cheryl - Don’t Fight For His Love went on sale on Wednesday (February 17th) and are currently outselling those supporting her naughty hubby Ashley by 92 per cent.

Are you in Team Cheryl?

Celebrity tributes pour in for Alexander McQueen

Celebrity tributes pour in for Alexander McQueen

As I am sure many fashion-followers are, we here at Secret Sales HQ are deeply saddened by the tragic news of Alexander McQueen’s suicide.

The clothing designer was found dead at his London home yesterday (February 11th), just one week on from the death of his mother Joyce.

An official statement from the British Fashion Council read: "He was a unique talent and one of the world’s greatest designers. Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this sad time."

Meanwhile, celebrity tributes for the star of the British Fashion World have been pouring in, proving just how much of an icon McQueen was.

Victoria Beckham, a long-standing fan of the clothing designer, said: "Today the fashion industry has lost a true great. An icon. He made all he touched beautiful."

Similarly, Cheryl Cole, who regularly wore clothes by the designer, described McQueen as "inspirational".

Naomi Campbell, Jessica Alba and Lady Gaga are just another few names in a long list of celebrity fans who have offered their condolences.

McQueen, who won British designer of the year four times, started life as a tailor before going on to become head designer at Givenchy.

The 40-year-old then founded the iconic Alexander McQueen and McQ label, which became a favourite with celebrities and fashionistas the world over.

While this is evidently a huge loss for the fashion world, I am absolutely certain that the legacy of this fantastic designer will live on for generations to come.

British women prefer shopping to dating

British women prefer shopping to dating

With the Clothes Show Live just around the corner (December 4th-9th), the fashion and beauty event conducted a survey of British women to find out about their designer clothing secrets.

Some of the revelations came as no surprise to us here at Secret Sales HQ - such as females prefer shopping with their friends than their man - but others were a little less predictable.

Believe it or not, 64 per cent of people would rather turn down a date with their ideal man in return for a shopping trip with Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Cole. Have you girls not seen her fashion choices on the X Factor?

The research also noted that on average, us girls will spend £68 on birthday presents for that special someone in our lives, but £137 on a typical shopping spree.

Caryn Franklin, who will be presenting the Birmingham show, told us that people were spending longer on finding the perfect piece of clothing and were opting to spend more on single items.

"We now understand the true cost of cheap clothes on the lives of the people who have to make them, we are just much more discerning," she explained.

Do you love designer clothing more than dating?
