Time to shed a tear for mascara?

back

When the clocks went back over the weekend, I was absolutely delighted at the prospect of an extra hour in bed on Sunday morning.

However, I did find myself wishing that the same had been true this morning when I overslept and had to not-so carefully apply my make-up on the train.

Is it worth it, I asked myself? I couldn’t decide, so I quizzed my fellow Secret Sales ladies when I finally arrived at the office.

The general consensus was yes, putting on a bit of slap helps to perk you up when you are feeling mightily tired after a heavy weekend. So what should I do when running late, I queried?

Well, it seems that I needn’t have worried about sharing my ponders with the girls of Secret Sales HQ, as I’ve read that I could soon be forgetting about one part of my make-up routine forever.

I absolutely adore mascara, and will happily spend a small fortune on what I think is the right one, but according to the Daily Mail a new drug has been discovered which could eradicate the need for it!

The newspaper revealed that a treatment for glaucoma, being tested at Miami University, has been found to boost eyelash growth, making them thicker, longer and darker.

As such, a cosmetic licence is being sought by the drug company and it could be on sale in the UK "as early as next year.

Would you ever consider ditching your trusty mascara wand?

NO WAY! I don’t wear much make up for work but wouldn’t even go to
work without mascara - and lippy of course!

Of course!! Being blonde I have recently turned to semi-permanent make up and am delighted to have perfectly formed and coloured eyebrows (what a difference!) and natural lip contour. Longer and darker voluptuous lashes too! OOh yes!!!
