What will men be wearing in 2010?
January 28th, 2010
Men’s fashion week has moved from Milan to Paris and designer clothing labels have been busy showing us what we should expect to be wearing in the coming seasons. So what can we look forward to from men’s clothing collections?
The Guardian has summed up the key menswear trends from the fashion shows and has suggested that men should let their shirt tails hang out, tuck long johns into boots and let their quiffs take on a Jedward appearance.
Colour-wise, camel will be a big look for the autumn. The newspaper suggests opting for a camel-coloured coat rather than dressing head to toe in the hue.
"Snow might be mostly over in the real world, but menswear designers were flaunting collections with severe weather warnings. There were quilted puffer linings under tailored jackets at Marni and Emporio Armani and D&G based their whole collections on the snowboarder look," it continued.
Other key pieces that we will be seeing in the fashion sales will be aviation jackets, which were popular at Burberry, chunky boots and rucksacks.
The Times added that the key menswear trends from Paris and Milan were all fairly practical - and will certainly keep people happy if we experience another similar winter to this one.
Would you brave long johns as outerwear?
