Swap the bronzer for fruit and vegetables
November 21st, 2009
Eating a healthy diet won’t only make us look better in our straight leg jeans, but could also make us more appealing to the opposite sex.
A survey carried out by St Andrews University discovered that a healthy glow, created by eating plenty of fruit and vegetables, was the most desirable complexion to men.
So ditch the fake tan girls and boys, as although people said they preferred themselves to have a "golden glow", the rosy look was deemed to be the most attractive.
"In the west we often think that sun tanning is the best way to improve the colour of your skin, but our research suggests that living a healthy lifestyle with a good diet might actually be better," said Dr Ian Stephen, who conducted the research.
So it’s good news for our skin as well as our bodies - and it can’t do us any harm fitting into our designer clothing!
This week, Victoria Beckham told Allure that her colour was all natural and was down to living in a hot climate - not from a bottle.
She added that she didn’t pretend to like hamburgers; she was a bigger fan of espressos and salad to retain her slim figure.
Would you ditch fake tan in favour of fruit and vegetables?
