Morrissey and McCartney duet - over designer shoes
December 2nd, 2009
After all of the talk last week of Leona Lewis’ vegan designer clothing dreams in a possible collaboration with Stella McCartney, it seems someone else has jumped in there first!
But perhaps an even more unlikely duo has been announced - between the vegetarian clothing designer and, would you believe it, Morrissey.
Daughter of Sir Paul and the late animal activist Linda McCartney, Stella said: "I’m working with Morrissey on a line of leather-free shoes which I’m really excited about. We are still in the early stages, but the shoes could be launched next year."
Although his foray into the designer shoe world was a little unexpected among some of us here at Secret Sales HQ, Morrissey has never been one to hide his beliefs when it comes to animal rights.
Not only has the singer released an album entitled Meat Is Murder, but the vegetarian entertainer has also walked off stage in the past complaining of smells from nearby burger vans - at California Music Festival Coachella earlier this year.
Stella has a line history of collaborations with other labels, from her ranges with Adidas and H&M to her most recent collection for GapKids.
Do you think this next range can be as successful?
