Jimmy Choo eyes sporty fashionistas with new designer shoes
February 2nd, 2010
As you all know, I am perhaps not the biggest lover of trainers that the world has ever seen and while I wish I was one of those sporty types, I think it’s time to face up to the fact that trawling around the shops each weekend is the closest I get to physical activity.
But a new designer shoe range from the king of collaborators Jimmy Choo could certainly be enough for us here at Secret Sales to swap our stilettos for a sportier model.
Grazia reports that the designer is set to launch a range of trainers, embracing the current trend for all things nineties.
The publication suggests teaming the high-end high-tops with a playsuit or mini dungarees to maintain a feminine but on-trend look.
I have to say that I am loving the fact that the brand is branching out from its traditional bejewelled footwear delights.
Last year Jimmy Choo collaborated with iconic British brand Hunter to design fabulous crocodile print wellies, which certainly make looking stylish in the rain and while at festivals a much easier job.
And more recently the brand joined forces with Ugg in order to bring fabulous footwear to those of us who want comfort, without relinquishing anything in the style stakes.
Tamara Mellon, president and founder of Jimmy Choo, said: "Other than Jimmy Choo, Ugg Australia is the only other footwear I have in my wardrobe."
