How to love your feet in killer heels
December 2nd, 2009
Designer shoes are a double-edged sword this season. On the one hand footwear is all about making a statement and there are some stunning examples from many designers in the shops. On the other hand, we all know the toll killer heels will take on our feet this party season!
Victoria Beckham’s love of designer shoes and skyscraper stilettos has publically caused her to suffer from unsightly bunions, so what can we do to avoid having so suffer for our love of gorgeous footwear?
Nail expert Belinda Price suggests giving your feet a little TLC after a big night out. She recommends soaking them in a foot spa before treating them to a rich foot souffle and then wrapping them in a warm towel for "ultra pampering".
She recommends using a foot cream to tackle dry, cracked heels before buffing away any hard skin with a pumice or file. And cuticles should be cut back before applying any nail polish.
"Dry cracked nails can be saved at the salon - try a gel pedicure to see long lasting colour that will allow the dryness to grow out," she adds.
Vogue states that wedge boots are still all the rage this season and that socks worn under sandals will be a key trend looking ahead to spring/summer 2010.

I love wearing heels but am desperate to avoid getting any ugly bunions! They ruin the look of your gorgeous summer sandals! I wear these sandals that have toe separators - called Beech Sandals. I wear them around the house and they spread my toes out and are said to help straighten out the toes so you don’t get bunions! Great pedicure tool aswell! And they have some lovely leapord print ones!
