Hilary Duff to be a very fashionable star
October 22nd, 2009
As the third season of Gossip Girl hit our TV screens the week before last, I have been on the edge of my seat waiting for new girl Hilary Duff to appear before me.
The former child star, who is probably best known for her role on Nickelodeon’s Lizzie McGuire, is set to play world famous movie star Olivia Burke, who is seeking obscurity in the bosom of New York University - much like Harry Potter’s Emma Watson is currently doing at Brown.
Pictures of the 22-year-old on the set have already revealed that she is set to be a major fashion player on the show - with a designer clothes-packed wardrobe just as glamorous as queen bee Blair Waldorf’s.
But it turns out that is not the only fashionable role actress Hilary has slipped into over recent weeks.
She was spotted in the Big Apple this week shooting scenes for new movie The Business of Falling in Love, which is set to be reminiscent of Sex and the City.
Hilary will play a struggling freelance journalist with a love for designer clothing and fashion, looking for Mr Right in the big city.
Much like Carrie Bradshaw, she will write about her endeavours for an article in a glossy fashion magazine.
Granted, the movie isn’t expected to win any Oscars or even put Hilary up there with this generation’s great actresses, but let’s face it, anything has got to be better than Confessions of a Shopaholic!
What do you think of Hilary Duff’s own sense of style?
