Daisy Lowe hits the fashion headlines yet again, as she is announced as the face of another designer clothing brand - this time for lifestyle label Esprit.

Joined by Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, the pair will front the edc by Esprit and the brand’s casual range for the spring/summer 2010 collection.

Daughter of editor-in-chief of French Vogue Cairine Roitfeld, Julia is no stranger to the world of fashion - and is perhaps best known as muse to Tom Ford and from the social scene. However, there are brains behind the pretty face as she is also a graduate of the New York School of Design.

The new campaign was shot in the outskirts of LA and follows the theme of "Travelling Together".

According to the designer brand: "The result is a campaign which plays on Esprit’s heritage, highlighting the classic laid back cool of the brand with a new dynamic edginess."

Recently, Daisy Lowe - daughter of Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale and Pearl Lowe - was among the nominees for the Model of the Year title by the British Fashion Council.

Having worked in the modelling industry since the age of 15, Daisy has also fronted advertising campaigns for Louis Vuitton and Chanel.

It’s nice to see that Jennifer Lopez has gotten over the embarrassment of her recent fall while performing at the American Music Awards.

However, here at Secret Sales, we think the latest story to have hit the fashion headlines about her is, well, a little bit bizarre.

Christian Louboutin, the name behind the iconic red-soled designer shoes, has admitted that he is a fan of her latest song - and even knows the lyrics off by heart.

Granted, the song is named after the designer footwear brand, but an unlikely fan none the less we think.

"Of course, in America, the public pronounces my name like in a million different ways," Christian told Fashion Week Daily.

"So Jennifer called me, and she was like, ‘Listen, I want to make sure I get it right’," he added.

The single will be appearing on her new album entitled Love and no doubt we will be seeing plenty of designer shoes and Louboutin influence in the video - and in J-Lo’s performances.

According to People magazine, she mentions the brand name more than 40 times in the three-minute track. No wonder Christian said that he was flattered.

It’s one way of getting a free pair of stilettos I suppose!

She’s not exactly known for her consistent style and getting her look spot-on, but Lily Allen has confirmed that she will be making yet another foray into the world of women’s clothing.

I don’t know about you, but images of crazy hairstyles, vintage dresses with trainers and some unflatteringly-small performance outfits all spring to mind. And here at Secret Sales HQ we don’t anticipate to be queuing at the door.

But perhaps we are being hasty. Lily made the announcement during an interview on Radio One, stating that she wants to set up her own designer clothing boutique that would offer a range of items for rent.

"It’s about getting really nice clothes but letting people rent them for affordable prices so they can go out and feel like a million dollars and it won’t cost them a million dollars," she explained.

OK, so here is something that we can relate to and we do admire the idea behind the design.

The business venture is something she says she wants to do with her sister and they have said they want to call it Lucy in Disguise.

Lily created a capsule line of women’s clothing for high street store New Look back in 2007 entitled Lily Loves.

It will be interesting to see what she comes up with and perhaps I will be eating my words. What do you think?
