E-Commerce Marketing Director

The Marketing Director will be responsible for driving Secretsales.com marketing strategy and contributing to the company’s operating profit objectives.

The ideal candidate is an experienced results-focused, strategic marketer with a strong retail/commercial background, who is also detailed and analytics-led, with excellent problem-solving and people management skills. They will be responsible for all marketing initiatives at Secretsales.com and have a deep understanding of industry best practices, customers’ needs and the competitive landscape.

Main Responsbilities:

Customer Relationship Management

  • Develop and implement a CRM and segmentation strategy that focuses on improving customer retention, loyalty and lifetime value across all levels of the customer base.
  • Increase the quantity of relevant data-capture across the customer base to drive better profitability.
  • Introduce CRM tools, practices and processes that span all points of customer contact, including customer services, email, and direct response and brand strategies.

Multi-Channel Customer Acquisition Program

  • Identify the appropriate mix of online and offline channels to deliver qualified, high life-time-value customers.
  • Implement customer value measures and deliver data-driven results through correct optimisation of media channels.
  • Target and broker new partnership deals (strategic mass and niche media partners, cross-promotional opportunities, etc.)
  • Cultivate member-get-member viral growth using on-site, online and offline mechanics.
  • Leverage social media to amplify reach and viral expansion of the customer base.

Data-Led Decision Making

  • Must possess outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting results & recommending new approaches to maximise revenue, margin, and profit.
  • Put in place actionable KPIs and regularly communicate them with other stakeholders and department heads.
  • Provide marketing intelligence to the sourcing team on a weekly basis.
  • Collaborate with Product Manager to assess value, usability and feasibility of features and design.
  • Use industry best practices, market research, customer analytics and competitive analysis to identify new marketing opportunities and enhancements.

Brand Management

  • Work alongside the Product Manager to develop the company’s brand strategy, ethos and values across the company and website.
  • Ensure strong understanding of competitive universe.

Operational Brand Development

  • Position Secretsales.com as the UK’s leading private shopping club – to both consumers and the trade (retail and technology).
  • Coordinate innovative placement/associations to increase brand equity.
  • Manage cost-effective plans to increase Secretsales.com brand awareness and experience.
  • Define, validate and develop new promotional initiatives.
  • Coordinate PR strategy, including voice, frequency, event planning and agency selection.
  • Identify best practices and synergies and ensure good diffusion through the organisation.
  • Return on investment: Monitor and evaluate the efficiency of all activities and propose corrective actions.

Organisation

  • Coordinate Marketing Department hires with HR and develop skills – build the team.
  • Define marketing resources and means necessary to achieve CRM, customer acquisition and brand objectives.
  • Report to the CEO and Executive Chairman.
  • Define marketing metrics and establish reports to measure successes, opportunities and appropriate action plans based on conclusions.

We are currently looking for a talented Buyers Assistant to join our developing Buying Team.

You will be working very closely with your Buyer, liaising with the studio and warehouse team, dealing with samples and all aspects of the initial production process. You will also liaise with suppliers and manage with any queries or issues as well as producing and updating management reports and statistics.

Your responsibilities will include:

Production Pre-sale process:

  • Assisting the Buying Team in the onboarding of recognisable and relevant Brands following the internal process map outlined below for your assigned Buyer/s.
  • Sending the relevant paperwork and confirmed a date for the samples to arrive in house.
  • Following-up items and ensuring that they arrive in the business on the agreed date.
  • Liaising with the Processing Department to ensure that there have been no issues with the samples and stock list.
  • Continually update the Campaign Schedule with the pre-sale progress.

Production post-sale process:

  • Completing all post-sale administration for your assigned Buyer/s:
  • Ensuring the order for all purchased items is sent to the supplier within the agreed timescales.
  • Ensuring that the delivery date for the stock can still be met by the supplier.
  • Sending the PO to the supplier, Warehouse and all other relevant stakeholders.
  • Sending the ASN to the Warehouse.
  • Receiving the invoice and resolving any discrepancies with the supplier in a timely manner.
  • Contacting the supplier regularly to check on the stock arrival date and ensure that this is met.
  • Ensuring that our accounts department are aware of the payment terms for the invoice and remind them of the due date regularly.
  • Managing the fulfilment of back orders directly with the suppliers and help to form a resolution for these with the Backorders Team if the supplier cannot fulfil them.
