Denim Is Everything – The Brand
Childhood friends Reynold Gautier and Marcus Martinez met aged eight, forming a friendship that would go on to last years and see the creation of their alternative fashion based label Denim Is Everything.
Set up in primary school the pair bonded over similar interests; everything from 1950’s zombie films, comic books, skateboarding and bands like The Guana Batz and The Meteors. As they grew up both became increasingly aware of their different style, other teenagers seemed to dress alike, but Gautier and Martinez had a hard time finding clothes they liked.
And so they formed their own brand. The name Denim Is Everything came from a state of mind both founders shared. As kids they didn’t pre meditate wardrobe choices, jeans and a t shirt were always the go-to outfit; easy to wear, comfortable and always a classic. This ideology shines through with every piece D.I.E does. Denim Is Everything’s fashion will instantly make an impact through its skater/rock/comic roots, graphic prints and great cuts make a distinct style – not passing trends.
Luckily for Denim Is Everything in 2004 the brand was able to find its footing in the fashion industry when edgy rock flair was in season. Giving the brand a boost, the trend for street wear gave D.I.E a taste of mainstream success, but the brand was keen to show the industry they wouldn’t be changing their philosophy to fit in. Denim Is Everything sticks to their signature style and they’re still giving us their quirky, offbeat look that can’t be found anywhere else.
Denim Is Everything – Classic Styles

A smaller range of women’s t shirts are also available, including the Beware t shirt which Elijah Wood famously wore in the men’s style. Other claims to fame include support from the band Cage The Elephant who modelled during D.I.E’s AW08 collection, and a special England football shirt, specially customised for a charity auction by Loaded magazine.
Although Denim Is Everything graphic print tees are their most popular feat, as their name suggests a dedicated choice of jeans and trousers are also available. Skinny and baggy fit jeans, cords and cotton twill trousers will always be styles you can rely on.
