Billy Bag: History of Brand
Neal and Charlotte Gershinson established the handbag and accessories label Billy Bag in 2008. The brand, affectionately named after the family’s King Charles Spaniel, design a selection of quirky handbags and accessories, which are frequently seen on the arms of many a celebrity, or within the pages of a glossy magazine.
Following the launch of their first collection in none other than the globally recognised Harrods store in Autumn, 1999; Billy Bag is now supplied to over 150 shops and department stores around the world including; Selfridges, House of Fraser, Urban Outfitters and John Lewis in the UK, Le Bon Marche in Paris and David Jones in Australia.
With regards to the couple’s established backgrounds in the fashion industry - Neal having been employed by Burberry for a decade and Charlotte’s experience within both fashion and film - it was inevitable that the pair should succeed in creating and developing the successful fashion accessories brand that is Billy Bag.
With a keen passion for premium quality leather goods, and an eagerness to expand the collection, Billy Bag is forever evolving and developing the core bag line, whilst simultaneously introducing new additions to the range each season.
Today the Billy Bag collection now includes; Women’s premium quality Italian leather handbags, purses and accessories, luxury leather travel goods and gifts, men’s bags and accessories and weekend holdalls in a variety of fabulous materials, premium Italian leathers, eye-catching colours and retro prints. A best-selling style from previous collections, the Molly has been brought up to date featuring Billy Bag's iconic red Honeycombe Winter print. This magnificent two-way frame bag can be used as a clutch, yet also features a lengthy detachable strap allowing the wearer to convert it to a cross-body bag.
The Molly fastens upon the top with a zip and the interior is lined in black fabric including a side zipped pocket and additional storage options.

A charming tartan handbag, trimmed in purple velvet and finished with an attractive metal frame. The frame is silver in colour and fastens using Billy Bag’s branded ball twist clasp. The Isla Highland Heather Frame Top’s interior is fully lined and has additional storage options.

A delightful frame topped tartan fabric handbag, which is trimmed in purple patent. The bag’s front features the Billy Bag insignia while the rear, demonstrates a zip pocket with branded ball, zip.
