7 For All Mankind – The Brand

Seven jeans launched in 2000, sparking a new decade of fashion eras, whereby upscale denim has become as lusted after as an It-bag - only they last longer, (they go with everything after all.)
Michael Glasser, Jerome Dahan and Peter Koral were the magic threesome behind Sevens. Noticing a gap in the women’s market for contemporary denim, 7 For All Mankind was born in sunny California. A plethora of LA’s finest including Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie and Liv Tyler became immediate fans of Sevens wardrobe basic that have kept so on trend.
After one year, profits for Seven were reaching untold limits; an amazing $13 million. It was an extraordinary breakthrough for the premium denim market, and designers both existing and new began to follow suit with their own launch of trendy core denim lines. Following their staggering success, Sevens menswear collection launched in 2002. Again, successions of man fans were quick to adopt Seven jeans into their lives. A-Listers such as Ben Affleck, Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds are constantly seen sporting Sevens.
Having worked in the apparel industry for years, Glasser and Dahan have now become household names in the designer denim dynasty. They teamed up again to create new labels Citizens of Humanity and Rich & Skinny jeans. By now, 7 For All Mankind had established itself as a visionary label for denim. In 2007, the original owners of Sevens took a backseat, and the brand was acquired by the VF Corporation, an American apparel corporation who own a number of jeans and other fashion labels.
The expansion of Sevens continued, with kids, sportswear, handbags and footwear collections. Collaborations with other acclaimed designers such as Zac Posen and Pucci helped Seven’s strive to innovation. They may have started with something simple, but 7 For All Mankind is one of today’s true lifestyle brands.
