Project Catwalk queen dazzles
November 30th, 2008
I am always interested to see how contestants in TV programmes get on in the real world once the cameras have stopped rolling.
Most, it seems, have their five minutes of fame, then disappear back into oblivion never to be heard of again.
So it was with some interest that I read about the fortunes of Former Project Catwalk winner Kirsty Doyle.
It seems the reality star is keen to grab her five minutes and squeeze the most out of it that she can; clever girl.
She has come up with the idea of running her own pop-up boutique in her home town of Liverpool.
This is the latest fad in the world of the fashionista and as far as I can see is designed to create mass hysteria about a brand.
As the name suggests, the boutiques pop up out of nowhere and disappear just as quickly.
The budding designer is now in cahoots with OK! and Company magazine who will be offering her merchandise as prizes in a cunning piece of marketing.
I really do wish her well and I do think that even though the fashion industry is ridiculously competitive, if you have talent it will shine through, especially if you’ve got that kind of press exposure behind you too.
Do reality stars have to have talent to win?
